AMERICA PLAYS! Celebrating Great American Stories

"AMERICA PLAYS! Celebrating Great American Stories" is a five-year project in which we offer a variety of community engagement activities in which ATC’s audience members can participate and learn more about an American classic play. All events are free and open to the public.

This season, Arizona Theatre Company is happy to partner with The West Valley Arts Council’s THE BIG READ to celebrate F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. Please see their website by clicking here to learn more about ways in which you can participate in these exciting events.

Events:

Gatsby Aloud

Listen to a local actor in period costume read aloud short excerpts from The Great Gatsby. Move back in time as the world of the roaring 1920s is vividly painted by Fitzgerald’s words as ATC prepares to put on a full production of Simon Levy’s adaptation of Fitzgerald’s masterpiece.
