Special Events/Special People
Cafe Bohemia Soars“The Temple Lounge was packed with attendees for the reading, which was an exciting and dynamic experience that brought together over 80 people from all across our community to celebrate a play-in-progress.”
BackstageCoach Arrives in Arizona“Ride in style on a luxury bus, enjoy libations and laughter with friends, and treat yourself to an unforgettable experience in the theatre. Guests will receive an exclusive behind-the-scenes glimpse of artistic content.”
Amber Tibbitts: Irreplaceable“There are two desks for ATC Education in Phoenix. In the past three seasons, the Associate desk has been occupied by as many persons. This season it belongs to Amber Tibbitts. As charming as she is dedicated and committed to her ideals and work in the Education Department, Amber has added so very favorably to the tenor of the Phoenix Office. Always available, always generous with a positive and youthful spin to her work, Amber is irreplaceable. And, I have a feeling, just getting started. We and the community are fortunate that Amber is growing with us because, even in growth, she is a rock of dependability and creativity and has become foundational to our department.”
--Cale Epps, Education Manager
David Cap: A Heck of a Nice Guy“The Production Manager at any theatre company is the invaluable hub through which all operations flow. Producing the work--from developing the yearly schedule, to coordinating with all designers and all the shops; from taking care of all our facilities, to making sure everything is ready for opening night--it is all on the shoulders of the Production Manager. It is a 24/7 kind of job needing someone who looks after all the details – and is able to control the big picture. Arizona Theatre Company has one of the best in the business in David Cap. And he is a generous-hearted, heck of a nice guy--on top of all of his expertise, his artistic eye and his steel-trap mind. And the thing I admire most about david is that he is just about the best father you have ever seen...”
---David Ira Goldstein, Artistic Director
Jonathon Crider: A Smile on His Face and a Song in His Heart“Jonathon’s love for the theatre is evident in everything he does at ATC. Whether you’ve been greeted by him at our concierge table in the lobby, worked with him to have ATC tickets donated for a charitable event, or bumped into him running around town with our posters and flyers, you’ve likely seen him with a smile on his face and a song on his lips. Jonathon first came to us as a marketing intern from the University of Arizona, and we’re so glad he’s made a home with us here at ATC.”
