Temple Usage and Guidelines

Built in 1927, the Temple of Music and Art is a proper cultural arts venue. Constructed in an elegant, Southwestern style, the Temple breathes grace and class with its beautiful surroundings of cobbled stone, fountain–splashed patio, and quiet tree-lined street. Now home of the Arizona Theatre Company, the Temple has been called “one of this city’s most elegant buildings” by Tucson Weekly.

Temple Usage Guidelines for Rentals:

Reservations
Requests for space at the Temple need to be referred to the Facilities Manager first. This includes meetings and tours of the facility. The calendar of events for all the spaces in the Temple is booked and managed through the Facilities Department only.

Food & Drink
All food must be prepared in a certified kitchen (individual caterer, Costco, Safeway, etc.) due to our health department certification. Food may not be prepared in an individual’s kitchen. Beverages may be brought in as long as they are in an unopened, sealed container.

Alcohol
All alcoholic products and beverages must be purchased and served by the staff members listed on our liquor license through a liquor distributor. Our liquor license is limited to beer and wine only. At no time are we able to serve alcohol that has been purchased by anyone else. A drink station can be set up through the in-house caterer, or she can set up a wine tasting when the wine is ordered through her.

Smoking
There is no smoking allowed inside the building or in the courtyard. Smoking is allowed on the sidewalks off-premises.
